The  OUTreach  Center  and  Alas! The Revolution  present:

The Cosmopolites

Picture
The three-piece musical group 'The Cosmopolites' is a desert flower that bloomed in the midst of the dry winds and open skies of Palmdale, California. Travis Fisher and John Karwoski, longtime friends since childhood, teamed up with violin prodigy Laurann Estevez in the Summer of 2010 and recorded Concrescence, an album that featured an array of tunes that eluded simple categorization, incorporating elements of jazz, theatre, rock, pop, classical and electronic. 2011 saw the release of another album, Time and Energy, which offered still more elaborate experimentation with song structure, instrumentation and recording techniques. Ever creating and recording new material, The Cosmopolites strive to marry complex, colorful music with refreshingly positive lyrics that invite the listener to tune into the present moment and appreciate the gift that is life. Luz Del Valle - La Altenita

Picture
In a place by the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico (birthplace of mariachi) in a small town called Valle de Guadalupe, on a beautiful morning of a January 20th, a star was born by the name of Luz del Valle, "La Alteñita". From an early age she loved to sing and she was always present in family parties, school and beneficiary events. Luz del Valle's biggest dream was to become a professional singer, but for different reasons her dream did not get too far during that time. A couple of years ago, Luz del Valle began her professional career as a singer presenting to the public her first discographic material called "Sentimiento Ranchero." Thanks to all the support she has received, her career has been very productive. Makinf appearances in rodeos, palenques, social events, and family parties. With a list of tours across Mexico that includes Arandas, Guadalajara and the whole area of the Highlands of Jalisco that is thanks to her fierce voice and her unique style in regional Mexican music.
